Design 1
My First Estella Design, consists of a basic makeup application routine. First primer and concealer are applied, then the base will be applied. Making sure that it is as close the the natural skin tone as possible, in order to give Estella the most natural looking makeup. Pink blusher is also applied onto the cheekbones. A purplish/ brown shadow is applied o the eyes, and they are then lined lightly with brown eyeliner, and mascara is applied. The eyebrows will be filled in and to finish this look off a slightly dark red is applied onto the lips. This design, i feel for Etella, isn't appropriate. I think that the eyes are too dark, as well as the lips. I need to bear in mind that during the Victorian Era little to no makeup was worn by women, so this look is definately not fitting with the circumstaces.
Design 2
This design ahs the same application of base makeup to the first design; Primer, concealer, base. But then for the eyes a very pale nude brown/ beige is applied onto the sockets and the outer corners of the eyes are lined with brown eyeliner. Mascara is also applied very faintly. The eyebrows are traced very lightly to keep them looking as natural as possible. The cheeks are a peachy tone, which will be applied lightly, and finally the lips are given an orangey/ pinkish tone to them. I really like this design, i feel that it fits in with the era, unlike the other one. I also like its simplicity, which reflects the estella charcter in the Adaptations on screen. This one is my favourite for sure.Design 3
Again, the makeup application is the same as befre, but for this design instead of using blusher to contour the cheekbones, bronzer is used instead, the eyeshadow is a darker brown, and the eyes are lightly lined with black. THe lips are and ombre effect in a deep plum/ purple tone. Without even thinking twice, i know that the makeup design for this one is way too extravagant for Estella and if i were to have dark eyes and lips its would completely clash against the time period and the Character as well. Which is a slight shame, as i really liked the lip design, and feel that Estella could have definately looked good with them!
On final review, i think i will stick with design 2 as it seems the most appropriate for the character of Estella, and the Victorian era.
